Vidyalaya Samiti are given here. The aim of the committee is to provide quality education which
requires committed teachers as they are the backbone of the educational system. The
appointment to the posts of teachers and non-teaching staff is done through
selection test and personal interview. The selection committee constituted
to select the office bearers for these posts includes officers of the
committee, eminent educationists, persons having experience in residential
school system, persons belonging to SC/ST, minorities, women representatives,

a view to encourage better quality teachers to join Navodaya Vidyalayas, the
following incentives are currently being provided to them:
Rental free, on-site accommodation facilities.

House-master allowance @ Rs. 800/- per month for Associate House-master
Allowance Rs. 400/- per month.
Free boarding with students as per rules.

Duties of Navodaya Teachers

JNVs have 30-35 teaching and 10 to 15 non-teaching staff. No doubt they
earn in lakhs per year. His quarter is in JNV campus itself. They can
also have food in the mess. They can easily get all these facilities like
water, electricity, furniture etc.
Unlike other teachers their duty begins at 5:00 a.m. PT. He
is Master on Duty* (MOD) One teacher per day has all the responsibilities from
PT to night reporting.

all of them have to be present in the morning meeting and if they are the house
master then they have all the responsibility of the houses. Then in
academic time they have to teach us without any excuse because they have to fill
their daily performance in each class which they have taught us and daily
checking is done by principal.

After this they have 1 hour for lunch and when the bell rings
for the remedial class. Of these, half have to appear for duty in remedial
studies. Then game time they play with the students. Thereafter the
other half of the employees have to give their duties in supervised study.
JNV
is the place which provides the complete development of a student. It
provides many facilities to the students which can also be availed by the
teachers. i have studied in one of the jnv i can tell based on my
observation
They get good quarters with facilities in the premises where
they can stay with their families.
They have facility to use student mess as per their requirement
they have quota for admission of their two children without any entrance exam
with all facilities.
